Clive Derby-Lewis treated unfairly - FF+

Pieter Groenewald says ANC should act consistently on parole applications

CLIVE DERBY-LEWIS TREATED UNFAIRLY

"The refusal to grant Clive Derby-Lewis parole is clearly a political decision which is unfair, unreasonable and discriminating. Clive Derby-Lewis definitely has cancer and many other medical ailments which place him in a position to qualify for parole. Schabir Shaik was granted parole and everybody knows that he is not terminally ill and it is therefore clear that Derby-Lewis was discriminated against.

Although the FF Plus does not condone the actions for which he was sentenced to prison, it is only fair that he is treated reasonably and the ANC should act consistently when it comes to parole applications," Mr. Pieter Groenewald (MP), the chief spokesperson on Correctional Services for the Freedom Front Plus said.
