Whether Statistics South Africa publishes data on the per capita gross domestic product; if not, why not; if so, what are the relevant details? NW1913E
REPLY:
- Stats SA does not publish per capita gross domestic estimates, as it can easily be calculated. It will consider including these estimates if a regular need for it is identified from its users. The South African Reserve Bank does, however, also publish these statistics annually, so they are in the public domain.
- The gross domestic estimates are published in both current and real/volume terms. The relevant annual per capita details are as follows:
