Regrettably, a further 97 deaths have been reported: Eastern Cape 7, Free State 30, Gauteng 15, Kwa-Zulu Natal 8, Limpopo 0, Mpumalanga 7, North West 0, Northern Cape 8 and Western Cape 22 which brings the total to 49 150 deaths

We convey our condolences to the loved ones of the departed and thank the health care workers who treated the deceased patients.

Our recoveries now stand at 1 413 566, representing a recovery rate of 93,9%
