No Mickey Mouse will stop 'state capture' report – Malema

2 November 2016

Pretoria – EFF leader Julius Malema has praised the courts following an order that opposition parties can intervene in President Jacob Zuma’s bid to stop the release of the “state capture” report.

“The courts have demonstrated once more that our Constitution and the law do not have loopholes for criminals,” he told hundreds of supporters who had spent Tuesday demonstrating outside the North Gauteng High Court in Pretoria.

“There will be no Mickey Mouse that is going to stop the report,” Malema said.

A full bench ruled that the EFF, Cope, UDM, and DA had vested interest in the investigation of the Gupta family’s alleged undue influence on President Jacob Zuma.

The merits of Zuma’s changed application would be argued in court on Wednesday.

The judges also struck off the roll Co-operative Governance Minister Des van Rooyen’s application for an interdict.
