Dept says this is part of SA’s ongoing efforts aimed at finding a resolution to Russia/Ukraine conflict

DIRCO DG visits Ukraine

The Director-General (DG) of the Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO), Mr Zane Dangor, will visit Kyiv, Ukraine, this week as part of South Africa’s ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at contributing to the resolution of the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

DG Dangor will be joined by Adv Nokukhanya Jele, Legal Advisor to President Cyril Ramaphosa. The two will join other international partners in talks with senior Ukrainian officials on Wednesday, 20 March 2024.

The visit to Kyiv forms part of a series of high-level engagements by South Africa at the bilateral and multilateral levels and indicates South Africa’s commitment to finding a lasting solution to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict.
