The EFF congratulates the EFF VUT Branch for winning SRC elections

27 March 2015

The Economic Freedom Fighters has won a landslide victory at the Vaal University of Technology. With a historic voter turnout of 4442, the EFF took all the 15 contested seats with its presidential candidate scoring 2389 against SASCO's 1973: leading with 416 votes.

This is yet another proof that the agenda of economic freedom in our lifetime is fast winning the hearts and minds of our people. It is an indication of an inevitable future, that EFF will win all of South Africa very soon. It is a sign that the there is life outside the ANC, and that EFF has become a home of those who seek a better future with economic justice. It is a proof that EFF will be government, from these campuses to local government, and right up to the union buildings in Pretoria.

We congratulate all the VUT fighters who delivered a powerful campaign under difficult conditions of intimidation and even assault from ANC SASCO delinquents. The fighters of VUT stood their ground, made the case to all students through the power of their argument and delivered their campaign with military precision. We salute them and now wish them a great year of student governance.

The EFF will consolidate all South African student power and unity for economic freedom in our lifetime.
