Helen Zille compromised State Security – ANC WCape

Party wants to know how a Premier could open up the Sate to someone with such a record of disservice like Paul Scheepers

Helen Zille Compromised State Security by her relations with Paul Scheepers

29 June 2016

Premier Helen Zille hired a Paul Scheepers last year to debug her cellphone and those of her cabinet colleagues after she developed a paranoia about being spied.

Our view as the ANC at the time was that it is in fact the duties of 'bugging' and not 'debugging' that Helen Zille had hired Paul Scheepers for and since then, and as Scheepers appeared yet again in Court yesterday, with his dodgy dealings and obviously law evasive behavior coming to light everyday, each little secret has been illuminating our point that Helen Zille knew exactly what Paul Scheepers does.

Scheepers is currently facing 26 charges relating to contravening the regulation of Interception of Communications Act (RICA) and contravening the Prevention of Organised Crime Act. This is the person Helen Zille says the only time she ever met him was to hand over her cellphone for debugging. Scheepers has spied on Senior Police offers, lawyers, Bank managers and Brigadiers, the charge sheet is endless.

How could a Premier of a Province open up the state to someone with such a record of disservice to society. How can she be so inept, how can she not ask who this person was that the whole provincial cabinet was going to hand over their cellphones for the so called 'debugging'. The truth of course is clear.

Helen Zille knew just who Paul Scheepers was and what he does and she hired her for exactly that reason.

Our hope is that when Scheepers finally gets his day in Court, and be given the sentence he so deserves, he will refuse to go down alone and reveal the people who gave him the mandate and resources to do the dirty work for them.
