NUMSA has made huge strides in the Bus Passenger Sector

The National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa (NUMSA) ended its last round of consultation with workers in the Bus Passenger sector on Monday. The union’s Treasurer General Mphumzi Maqungo met with Workers from Algoa and Ezethu Bus Companies in Port Elizabeth. As of this morning we understand that all members have reported for duty at depot’s across the country.
Members were afforded an opportunity to discuss the new wage agreement which is broken down as follows:
9% across the board wage increase
10% increase on all allowances - night shift, cross border allowance, and S&T (Subsistence and Travel)
