Nhleko's Nkandla report noted - COSATU

Federation says it is still to study the report in full and identify all the necessary lessons to be drawn on issues of state procurement and provision of services

COSATU Statement on Security upgrades at the Nkandla Private residence of the President

The Congress of South African Trade Unions has noted the report tabled on the 25 March 2015 by the Minister of Police to Parliament on Security upgrades at the Nkandla Private residence of the President.

COSATU reiterates its standing view and campaign against corruption and the waste and mismanagement of public funds and for strong action to be taken against anyone found to have been involved in such conduct.

COSATU remains committed to fighting against corruption but in a principled manner.

COSATU has noted that the Minister of Police Report has exonerated the office the President for liability to should responsibility.

COSATU will still study the report in full and identify all the necessary lessons to be drawn on issues of state procurement and provision of services.
