COSATU Statement on DeLille legasy after 5 years in Office

After five years of DeLille in office, the City of Cape Town is even more unequal.

 We see:

- Greater levels of racism;

- Gangs and drugs are more out of control;

- MyCiti busses are good in Milnerton but terrible in Gugulethu and Elsies River;

- The Cape Flats is in a terrible state of disrepair but Sea Point is very fancy;

To further expose her attitude toward the people of the Cape Flats, we have also seen DeLille have lunch with Camps Bay developers, but when she is called to the Flats, she goes in wearing gas masks….

Sea Point and Strand pavilions get R100M for upgrades. .mnandi and Macassar gets nothing…

This City is only good at ticking boxes and looking after the wealthy; whilst the poor is neglected.

Even if a dog was the mayoral candidate, racist people would vote for them in Cape Town.

DeLille only had 5% support when she was in the Independent Democrats.

People will not support her because she has proven herself to be a boere boetie!
