EFF statement following successful provincial manifesto launches in March 2024

24 March 2024

The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) is pleased to have hosted a total of seven (7) successful provincial manifesto launches in the month of March 2024, ahead of the decisive Provincial and National Elections which will be held on the 29th of May 2024 in South Africa.

The Provincial Manifesto Rallies, which were addressed by the Commander in Chief and President of the EFF Julius Malema, came after the successful launch of the EFF Elections Manifesto at Moses Mabhida Stadium on the 10th of February 2024, under the theme of Land And Jobs Now! Stop Loadshedding! It is this battle cry that was the emphasis of all the provincial manifesto launches, and guided the localised approach of how the EFF Manifesto would be applicable to the challenges confronting each region and each province.

At the centre of each message to our people in all the provinces were the commitments to provide land to our people and support to work the land, the commitment to create jobs through industrialisation, infrastructure development and trade and the commitment to end loadshedding through diverse sources of energy and protecting existing coal capacity. The people in the provinces of Gauteng, Mpumalanga, North West, Free State, Eastern Cape, Northern Cape and the Western Cape, were further assured of the EFF's commitment to end crime, provide free Education, quality housing, quality healthcare, ending unemployment and the provision of a graduate grant and the increase of social grants for the needy.

On the 02 of March 2024, the Gauteng Provincial Manifesto launch was held at a full to capacity Dobsonville Stadium in Soweto. The Commander in Chief delivered a compelling message to the people of Gauteng on how the rising rates of unemployment would be addressed through the reviving of industry in areas such as Johannesburg, Sedibeng and Ekurhuleni, the commitment to scrap the electricity debt of the people of Soweto, how crime would be combatted through visible and active policing in areas such as Mamelodi and Soshanguve and how areas such as the West Rand would receive massive support to bolster participation in agricultural activities.

On the 09th of March 2024, the Mpumalanga Provincial Manifesto Launch was held at a full to capacity Kanyamazane Stadium in Mbombela. The Commander in Chief took the opportunity to remind the people of Mpumalanga never to surrender to the corrupt deals of Cyril Ramaphosa, which have resolved to close coal power stations which are at the centre of the Mpumalanga community. The CIC further gave the people of Mpumalanga concrete commitments on how jobs would be created through investing in tourism, and how the EFF would ensure that all former miners receive their pensions and receive adequate healthcare, for their service to our nation.

On the 16th of March 2024, the North West Provincial Manifesto Launch was held at a full to capacity Boitekong Stadium, in the Bojanala Region. The Commander In Chief once again reminded the people of the unbreakable umbilical cord that connects the EFF to the North West, being the Marikana Massacre, and how we will always be in support of the wealth of the mines in the North West belonging to the people. The EFF committed to expand the mining sector in the North West, increase the remuneration of miners particularly Rock Drill Operators, industrialise old mining towns and leverage the wealth of the province to build roads, provide water and provide adequate healthcare.

On the 17th of March 2024, the Free State Provincial Manifesto Launch was held at a full to capacity Zamdela Stadium in the Fezile Dabi Region. The Commander in Chief reminded the people of Sasolburg of how the earliest consultative meetings to form the EFF were held in Sasolburg, and that those women who called for the formation of this organisation Il-years ago would now see it in government after the 29th of May 2024. The EFF committed to the people of the Free State to invest massively in agricultural development and providing skills to the people of the province to farm. The EFF further committed to end the perennial challenges of sewage spillages confronting areas such as Mangaung and would create jobs through reviving industry in areas such as Sasolburg.

On the 21st of March 2024, the Eastern Cape Provincial Manifesto Launch was held at a full to capacity Buffalo City Stadium in East London. The Commander in Chief delivered a message of hope to the people of the Eastern Cape, committing that an EFF government would put an end to crime and corruption in the province, would put an end to mud schools, pit toilets, will provide scholar transport so children do not cross rivers to go to school and would create thousands of jobs in the Eastern Cape through massive infrastructure projects led by a State-Owned Roads and Construction Company.

On the 23rd of March 2024, the Northern Cape Provincial Manifesto Launch was held at a full to capacity Galeshewe Stadium in Kimberly. The Commander in Chief assured the people of the Northern Cape that the situation where the mines in the Northern Cape exist in communities without water, electricity, schools or clinics will be a thing of the past. The EFF committed that jobs will be created in the Northern Cape by turning the province into a manufacturer and not a province that transports minerals out of the province.

On the 24th of March 2024, the Western Cape Provincial Manifesto Launch was held at a full to capacity Gugulethu Stadium in the Cape Town. The Commander in Chief sent a message of confidence to the communities of the City of Cape Town who suffer at the grips of criminals who extort them under the guise of a protection fee. The EFF committed to the people of the Western Cape that the land will be returned to them and that the province will no longer be a haven for gangsterism under an EFF government.

The EFF takes this opportunity to commend all the EFF Officials deployed to the provinces, the Provincial Elections Task Forces (PETFs), the Regional Elections Task Forces (RETFs) and all ground forces for independently delivering these successful rallies without any intervention from the organisation at a national level. This shows tremendous organisational capacity and leadership, and all of these rallies have proven that the EFF exists in every corner of South Africa.

We further take this opportunity to thank all those in the business sector who have in their own ways contributed to the success of these rallies, through donations of food, transport, money and any other means that contributed to the success of these organisational events. The success of these rallies is proof to those in business that donations to the EFFare not misused, and we encourage this support to continue up until election day on the 29th of May 2024.

To all our structures and ground forces, let us not become complacent but invest more energy towards the total victory of the EFF and the liberation of our people on the 29th of May 2024. Let us continue with our campaign of umntu emntwini, motho mothong and have direct interactions with our people door to door, and convince them to vote for their own freedom!

The battle lines are drawn! It's Land And Jobs Now! Stop Loadshedding!
