We challenge Zille to release documents on DA's own cadre deployment - BOSA

Party denies there was any such policy in the DA under Mmusi Maimane

We challenge Helen Zille to release documents on DA's own cadre deployment

Build One South Africa (BOSA) has taken note of spurious allegations made by the DA's Federal Executive Chairperson, Helen Zille, against BOSA Leader Mmusi Maimane.

In a tweet on X — formerly Twitter — Zille alleges that the practice of "cadre deployment" was introduced at the DA under its former leader, Mr Maimane, and when she ceremoniously returned it was quickly done away with

This is simply not true. There was no such policy in the DA under Mr Maimane. In fact, when he took office, Zille's own cadre deployment policy "fit for purpose" — was expunged. That policy led to what appears like a patronage network of DA persons and affiliates in the City of Cape Town and the Western Cape Government.

In order to not be led to the assumption that Ms Zille may be telling untruths, we wish to publicly challenge her to the following:

1. Release the minutes of the Federal Executive (FedEx) meeting in which the non-existent cadre deployment policy within the DA was allegedly done away with.

2. Release all minutes of any FedEx meeting - where Mr Maimane was present — which directed or dictated which individuals shall be appointed to any government departments or entity. In particular, any instance where senior officials such as municipal managers. or departmental executive directors and HODs were approved for appointment.

3. Finally. to release the minutes of the meetings whereby Helen Zille's nearest and dearest were appointed to senior positions in DA governments. This includes the likes of Ryan Coetzee, Penny Tainton, Tim Harris and countless others.

Such public allegations must be called out and the record must reflect the truth.
