We didn't stage protest against Mathale - MKMVA Limpopo

Godfrey T. Netshanzhe appeals to members to refrain from embarking on such actions

LIMPOPO MKHONTO WESIZWE MILITARY VETERANS ASSOCIATION (MKMVA) REJECTS MARCH AGAINST provincial ANC

The MKMVA Limpopo unreservedly distances itself from all media claims implied that it had organised and staged a protest march against the African National Congress in the province on Monday, 13 February 2012.

We wish to further clarify that this march has no bearing on current MKMVA programmes.

The Provincial Executive Committee (PEC) of the MK had never tabled nor agreed on such actions in any of its meetings. This march came as a result of individual preferences and decisions and not due to official MKMVA Limpopo resolutions.

It should be understood that MKMVA and the ANC in the province have structured processes through-which organisational programmes of action and issues are discussed and channelled.

The leadership of MKMVA Limpopo wishes to advise members of its organisation to refrain from embarking on such actions. These kinds of actions may impact the relationship with the ANC as the centre of power in the mass democratic movement negatively and potentially distort the good quality relationship between the ANC and the MKMVA.

As custodians of strong values of discipline, former MKMA members are politically conscience volunteers of the organisation and the ANC.

MKMVA is an integral part of the ANC, as such, its members cannot march against the ANC.

Internal challenges, where they may exist, should be channelled through established organisational processes that are already in existence between MKMVA and the ANC. Likewise, comrades with grievances must utilise the same channels in pursuit of relief for their particular issues.

The MKMVA wishes to emphasise that, as an integral part of the body-politic, it is wrong for its members to march against the ANC.

In the event that challenges are encountered, the MKMVA remains loyal and committed to the ANC as disciplined commissars and commanders.
