DAVEYTON Police Station cells are hell! "If you've never been inside those cells you've never seen anything!" resident Martin Mokoena (50) told Police Minister Nathi Mthethwa. Mokoena said that he was brutally assaulted in the cells in 2011. He had gone to the cop shop to report that his son had broken windows and doors at his house. "Instead they told me to leave," said Mokoena. "When I refused, they assaulted me and threw me into a cell!" Mokoena said he had been following the progress of the case but nothing has happened.
