A grand total of five Black, four White, 44 Yellow, 207 Graphite and 587 Wood Pencils were awarded.

Building long-term consumer value drives Kaffeine

by Herman Manson. Oscar Tango Marketing has been relaunched as a specialist CRM agency called Kaffeine. According to managing partner, Alistair Irving, the agency will marry creatively smart work with hitting the commercial bottom line, plus ensuring measurable return on investment for clients.

#3D: #2AppOrNot2App

by Prakash Patel. Having raised this title question over two years ago, again last year, and now for a third time in 2015, I can confidently commit to an answer. In short, yes, if it’s relevant and, no, if it’s not.

Brand Culture: SquareSpace, Jeff Bridges and his weird sounds — a cultural misfire

by DK Badenhorst. Tapping into little pockets of pop culture is a tricky and fascinating business. If the goal is to create culturally interesting advertising or any mainstream piece of communication, it’s even trickier. You need to find something that is relatively niche but still recognisable (Red Bull films). If you don’t, you end up with people not knowing what they’re looking at (SquareSpace’s Jeff Bridges ad).

Beyond Borders: What’s shaping the future of our industry

by Craig Page-Lee. I recently had the privilege of attending Advertising Week Europe 2015 — London. A number of key themes emerged and, as expected, some of these were incredibly controversial, especially what the agency of the future will look like.
