MEDIA SPECULATION REGARDING DIPLOMATIC POSTINGS

Pretoria: The Department of International Relations and Cooperation has taken note of media speculations regarding Ambassadorial appointments in today's Sunday Times (see here) and Sunday Independent respectively.

As indicated by Director - General, Dr. Ayanda Ntsaluba last week Thursday, 30 July 2009 at the weekly media briefing, the Department will make an announcement on the process pertaining to diplomatic postings tomorrow, Monday, 03 August 2009.

In the meantime, the Department, through its current Ambassadors, High Commisssioners and Consul - Generals as well as supporting officials continue to fly the South African flag in the international arena in the service of the Republic of South Africa.
