"Calabash of chaos!" - Daily Sun

"Residents say Satanists sent it as pastor unearths..." - front page lead, April 24 2015

Daily Sun (April 24 2015) - THERE was drama when a priest was called to pray for a school plagued by Satanist violence.

While he prayed, said Pastor Eddy, the Holy Spirit told him of evil muthi buried there.

SUDDENLY, THE EARTH SWELLED – AND A MYSTERIOUS CALABASH BURST INTO SIGHT!

Teachers and pupils of the troubled school in Itsoseng, near Lichtenburg, North West gasped.

This shocking thing happened during morning assembly at FM Ramaboa Technical and Commercial High School on Friday.

An aunt of one of the pupils invited Pastor Eddy Nakedi of the Spiritual Healing Ministeries to pray for the school said to be plagued by stabbings, unruly behaviour, vandalism and kids out of control, bunking or coming late.

Pastor Eddy said that as he prayed the Holy Spirit told him there was evil muthi buried there.

Suddenly teachers and pupils gasped and pointed to the ground swelling up a few metres away.

A calabash wrapped in blue cloth burst out of the earth.

Inside was hair, rotten animal liver and all sorts of evil muthi.

Kids took pictures of the scary thing with cellphones.

When one girl got too close she fell down, struggling to breathe. She is fine now, except for a blood-red eye.

A brave teacher picked the thing up, but the pastor took it from him quickly. Paster Eddy said there’s been peace at the school since Monday.

North West Education spokesman Brian Setswamburg said: “As part of his visitation programme Pastor Eddy rendered a prayer and substances emerged from the school grounds.”

He said it would be insensitive and derogatory for the department to blame a cult or any religious denomination.

But residents said they suspected the problems were caused by Satanists or a spell cast by jealous people who wanted chaos at the school.

There’s a suspicion that somebody is after the job of principal.

The school’s acting principal wouldn’t give his name and couldn’t comment because of education department policy.

Pastor Eddy said: “When I got to the school I felt a heavy atmosphere. This caused tension in my body. As I prayed these things came out, not far from the kids. I used a blessed oil to neutralise the evil muthi. But I burnt the material as it is possible for dark forces to return and use it at the school again.”

He couldn’t say who put the evil muthi there, but said the curse would be sent back to them.

He plans to hold a kasi crusade in a few weeks.
