Daily Sun (16 September 2015) - GOSPEL superstar Sfiso Ncwane lay in bed with death looking over his shoulder.
But then, the singer believes, God intervened in the shape of Reverend Francis Anosike, who saved his life through prayer.

Sfiso, the Kulungile Baba hitmaker, told Daily Sun he has learnt how important it is to give to God. “I don’t even own such a car myself, but I have no problem with it,” he told Daily Sun. “It is not important how much I give because it is worth nothing when compared to what God has done for me.”
The glittering ceremony to hand over the key to Reverend Francis Anosike and his wife took place at the Rock Of Victory Ministries International church in Newtown, Joburg. Sfiso explained that he chose to stay at his house in Durban, KZN instead of going to hospital after a serious heart attack. “I didn’t want the media to find out,” he said.
He said he was not expected to survive and even his wife, Ayanda was told he wouldn’t live. “I was scared. I thought about the late Eddie Zondi, Vuyo Mbuli and Shakes Kungwane who did not survive their heart attacks,” he said. “But then Reverend Francis raced over to my home and prayed for me. It was those prayers that saw me through,” said Sfiso.
Sfiso said he thanked God for restoring his life and placing His trust in Sfiso to spread His word. In addition to the brand new, white AMG Mercedes-Benz GL 63 V8, the Anosikes were also presented with two sheep to symbolise the dedication of Sfiso’s two sons to God.
Reverend Anosike and his wife were not available for comment. A man at the church said the reverend left yesterday morning for a special service in Canada. Not everyone is happy with Sfiso’s generous gift. When Sfiso himself posted pictures of the car on Facebook, some of the comments were less than approving.
Tumi Molefu commented that there were people in the congregation taking taxis and struggling for rent and food. “Dude, you could have used the money to help a lot of people,” said Tumi.
Lerato Selelane said she thought it was unnecessary for Sfiso to tell the world what he had done. “It doesn’t give a very pleasant impression,” she said. Gates Baloyi asked: “And what did you buy for the poor people?”
Kabelo Letlala said Sfiso is crazy. “Don’t be ignorant. Worship the Creator of mankind, not man.”
Sfiso warned his followers not to make comments that could create bad luck for them.
