ANC Limpopo on the national govt's intervention

Premier Mathale has assured party situation not as bleak as it's projected

PROVINCIAL ANC RESPONSE TO NATIONAL INTERVENTION IN LIMPOPO

The African National Congress in Limpopo has noted a decision of the National Cabinet on the intervention by National government in the administration of some departments of the Limpopo Provincial Administration.

The ANC is adamant that this intervention by National cabinet will not, and should not impact negatively on our commitment towards the realization of our priorities as contained in the 2009 elections manifesto.

The ANC has received an assurance from the Premier, who is an ANC deployee that the situation is not as bleak as it is projected and that together with members of the Executive Council and the rest of the administration, they will do everything in the power to work with the intervention team to normalize the situation.

We trust that this intervention would also go a long way in providing support to the provincial administration and thus give us the time and space to continue improving the quality of life of our people for better.

Statement issued by ANC Limpopo Provincial Secretary, Cde. Joe Maswanganyi, December 8 2011
