COSAS calls for a new ANC in the Western Cape
COSAS Western Cape calls for the PEC of the ANC to be disbanded, they have failed learners and brought factionalism to students. COSAS Western Cape is frustrated and remains frustrated with the ANC for ignoring COSAS members during the 103 anniversary events.
It is sad that while the future of South Africa lies in the hands of the youth, the ANC in the Western Cape did not provide COSAS with any support or assistance to mobilise young people to attend. In fact while youth were struggling to get to the stadium the ANC PEC denied many young community members including Ses'khona transport and thousands of young people were denied their wish to attend. It is also sad that while we have a vibrant and complete PEC of 15 the PEC of COSAS was only provided with 2 tags to attend.
The factionalism that is happening in the Western Cape is led by a small and brutal faction of the ANC, the PEC is not a leadership, but the leadership of a faction. It fails to allow debate or democracy, we are young we know nothing of the fights of the ANC, but we find the ANC PEC denying to assist our members to attend gatherings because of their gatekeeping factionalism.
Since its election the PEC of the ANC has tried to "hire us" and bribe us with drinks to support them, when this failed they promised to chase us out of the provincial office of the ANC, now we have no office.
The PEC members, led by Marius Fransman, Songezo "Factionalist" Mjongile and their street fighter Thandi Mahambehlala have tried to destroy the ANC and leave behind it a group of "yes men". We cannot continue to be silent, we have suffered greatly under these dictators and we need the ANC NEC to intervene. Please disband them and place in their place leaders who will allow branches to have various views without being destroyed.
