DA suffers another major setback

The DA has suffered another major setback as a second councillor in the Cederberg Municipality resigned shortly after the local government poll to join the ANC.

Mr Koos Brandt, Ward 4 (Graafwater and Elands Bay), is disillusioned, sick of the DA lies and the racist behaviour in that party.

Brandt follows hot on the heels of William Abels of Ward 6 (Wupperthal) who left the DA and last week in a by-election won that ward for the ANC. The ANC now has 6 councillors, the DA 2, PAC 1 and Cope 1.

The ANC is making inroads in Cederberg as another by-election looms and more people are joining the ANC as their party of choice. The ANC is the champion of the poor, oppressed and ordinary people. The aspirations of communities are not on the DA agenda as the DA remains untransformed and undemocratic.
