The public hearings on the contentious and unconstitutional Expropriation Bill will draw to a close in the Western Cape tomorrow evening. This marks the final opportunity for citizens to express their concerns and opposition to this proposed legislation.
The public hearings will be held at the Provincial Parliament in the City of Cape Town, on the 6th floor, and will be commencing at 16:00.
To ensure a wide range of perspectives, submissions can be made through various channels. Interested individuals can submit their views via email to [email protected] or share a voice note on WhatsApp at 068 062 5876. The deadline for these submissions is July 8th, 2023.
Following the conclusion of the public hearing, the bill will proceed to the next stages of the legislative process, namely the negotiating mandate and the final mandate.
