Your vote for EFF will turn Malamulele into Soweto, Malema promises

Malamulele - Residents of Malamulele will find themselves living in an area as developed as Soweto, in Gauteng, if they vote for the Economic Freedom Fighters, the party has promised them.

"Malamulele must be beautiful like Soweto. It is long that you have been suffering," EFF leader Julius Malema told supporters in Gandlanani village in Malamulele, Limpopo, on Sunday.

"When the EFF runs the new Malamulele municipality, we will hire local people because they have been forgotten for the past 22 years. Rather than giving jobs to Venda-speaking people, because they have been benefiting from Thulamela municipality, jobs will come to you," said Malema.

The opposition politician reiterated his promise to build better RDP houses than the ones the African National Congress had built.

"We will build you RDP houses that have a good kitchen, two beautiful bedrooms and flushing toilets, rather than the disastrous RDP houses that the ANC has built over the past 22 years of democracy," said Malema.

Schoolgirls would get free sanitary pads under an EFF council so they would no longer have to miss school when they had their periods.

He warned Malamulele residents against voting for the ANC.

"You will be voting for somebody who is corrupt and knows nothing about how to run the country, but to steal money from the country," said Malema.
