Malema wants voters to punish ANC

Mokopane - Economic Freedom Fighters leader Julius Malema says dissatisfied people must vote the ruling party out of power to teach other parties that if they mess up they will lose power too.
He told thousands of his party supporters that the ANC government had failed to advance the desire of South Africans to own land and access to free education.
"You must teach other political parties through the ANC, because when the ANC messes up and you vote them again, they will continue to mess up, and even those who will take over will continue because they know that you tolerate corrupt people," said Malema.
He was speaking to party members in Mogalakwena as part of upcoming Local Government Election campaign.
"We must not tolerate corrupt people "We did not sign permanent contracts with anyone, ours is service delivery, and if they don’t deliver, they must shift.”
Malema said that drug abuse was increasing because young people were missing out on an education due to high tertiary fees.
"Our children pass matric and are not given bursaries to study and end up involved in nyaope, because school is more expensive, and they cannot afford. Nyaope is cheaper than school.
"When they go to school, the doors are closed and they return to drugs, so we want education to be free," he said. He blamed the ANC for the collapse of former colleges of education in the province, saying they had been neglected.
"We have colleges, but ANC ran them down. They are a shadow of their former self.
"They use to be very beautiful institutions. But today, toilets are leaking, there is no maintenance, things falls apart in their eyes," added Malema.
He said the price of Nyaope and drugs should be more expensive, while schools should be free.
Malema said that no-fee schools in many areas didn't really help, because parents were still forced to pay for security and other expenses.
He said the ambitious free education programme had effectively collapsed because President Jacob Zuma was careless about education.
"Our education is being ruined, our economy is ruined. people are no longer getting jobs, and Zuma does not care. What he cares about is himself."
