Daily Sun (February 28 2014) - PHUMZILE refused to see the signs that her husband was cheating . . .But she saw the terrible truth on his Facebook page. HE POSTED A MESSAGE SAYING HE WAS ENGAGED TO HIS NYATSI.
That's how Phumzile Qhamakoane (46), from Vanderbijlpark, found out that her marriage to Shadrack Qhamakoane (47) was over.
"Our problems started three years ago when Shadrack told me he wanted to take a second wife because he didn't want to get bored," Phumzile told Daily Sun.
When she refused, he went ahead anyway and started having an affair with a 27-year-old woman.
Phumzile found out her husband was cheating on her and confronted the nyatsi, who denied having a relationship with her husband.
"But then I found them in a restaurant together," said Phumzile.
She said she was heartbroken when she saw the Facebook post and her kids are also traumatised.
"He cheated on me before and I forgave him but once a cheater, always a cheater. I will never forgive him," she said.
Phumzile said when she met Shadrack he didn't have a job.
"I was the one who sold vegetables on the street," she said.
"Now he says I am not educated and can't speak English, and the woman he is with is educated."
She said he should have talked to her about their marriage.
"Instead he humiliated me on
Facebook and I insulted him after I saw the post because I was angry," she said.
A source close to the couple said Phumzile didn't deserve this treatment.
"She has always been a good woman and supported him," the source said.
"What he did was wrong and it makes Phumzile's pain unbearable. She had to find out from others that her marriage was over."
When Daily Sun spoke to Shadrack he said: "Yes, I am engaged to my girlfriend and I shared the news about our engagement on Facebook. My marriage to Phumzile is over and if she wants to talk to me, she can phone me instead of insulting me with Facebook posts."
When Daily Sun spoke to the alleged nyatsi, she denied even knowing Shadrack.
