ANC YOUTH LEAGUE LIMPOPO WELCOMES LIMPOPO PROVINVIAL GOVERNMENT CABINET RESHUFFLE

The ANC Youth League Limpopo welcomes the recent reshuffling of Limpopo cabinet. It is our view that this move will strengthen the work of government and is politically correct. Former MECs who have been given new responsibilities remains servants of the people and deployees of the AFRICAN NATIONAL CONGRESS. A need for their talents and skills was identified in other areas. The two comrades served the Limpopo cabinet with a lot of dedication and selflessness. Their contribution laid a solid foundation for their successors.

We believe that they will continue doing the ANC proud in their new responsibilities. Cde Merriam Segabutla remains one of intelligent dedicated cadres of our movement, with her clear political credentials we encourage her to continue excelling in her new mandate. Indeed she served as an inspiration to the women of Limpopo and we believe she will remain strong and committed to the movement.

The appointment of Cde Thabitha Mohlala comes as no surprise given her track record and contributions to the movement. She is more than capable to stare the ship as a member of executive council. Her long and unblemished history in the movement and her previous contributions towards the improvement of the quality of the lives of our people convinces us that she will add a lot of value in the work of Limpopo provincial government.

The appointment of Cde David Masondo confirms the role of the ANC Youth League as a preparatory school. We are convinced that Cde David as a product and former leader of the ANC Youth League ,who is amongst young intellectuals will make an immense contribution in the province and executive to ensure that the lives of our people are better. The appointment further reaffirms the resolution of ANCYL on generational mix across all spheres. We thus call upon the entire executive to continue serving the people of Limpopo with pride and commitment.

The ANC Youth League is convinced that the decision taken by the Premier to reshuffle cabinet is in order and must be welcomed by us all. This is in line with the mandate given to him by the organization and the constitution, in terms of the powers, roles of the Premier. To date we believe that Limpopo is on a right path to realize a better life for all. We call upon the people of Limpopo and all structures to rally behind the collective as led by Premier Mathale.
