Charges against Jiba conjured up by an alliance of malice - HETN

Lucky Thekisho says GCB is now sitting with hot egg on its face after this public humiliation

HETN WELCOMES WITHDRAWAL OF CRIMINAL CHARGES AGAINST DEPUTY NDPP JIBA

20 August 2015

The Higher Education Transformation Network (HETN) hereby welcomes the withdrawal of criminal charges against Deputy National Director of Public Prosecutions (NDPP), Adv. Nomgcobo Jiba.

It has always been our steadfast belief that the charges against Adv. Jiba were conjured an alliance of malice led by the former National Director of Public Prosecutions, Mr Mxolisi Nxasana, the General Council of the Bar (GCB) and the disgraced Adv. Glynnis Breytenbach.

This alliance was aimed at unduly and without reasonable cause, destroying the careers of Advocates Jiba, Mzinyathi and Mwrebi in order to protect the disgraced Adv. Glynnis Breytenbach and her rich corruptive friends.

The GCB is now extremely embarrassed and sitting with hot egg on its face after this public humiliation for, in our opinion, allegedly peddling their professional independence on the altar of political convenience and subjecting themselves to exterior conspiracies waged by third parties. The case of professional misconduct lodged by the GCB against Advocate Jiba, Mwrebi and Mzinyathi is about to fall flat on its belly.

We welcome the proliferation of the might of law on the matter and again reiterate that the Network is in the process of gathering relevant evidence and will be lodging the requisite criminal charges against former NDPP Nxasana in due course as we are determined that Nxasana and his allies must have their day in court.
