EFF CONGRATULATES DEPUTY PRESIDENT FLOYD SHIVAMBU FOR BEING AWARDED A MASTER'S DEGREE BY THE UNIVERSITY OF LONDON'S SOAS.

The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) congratulates Deputy President Floyd Shivambu for being awarded a Master of Science degree in International Development by the University of London's School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS). The School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) Department at the University of London is ranked the 3rd best Development Studies program in the world according to QS World University Rankings.

The MSc International Development is the EFF Deputy President's second Master's degree, after having been awarded a Master of Arts degree by Wits University in 2014.

The EFF Deputy President's coursework for the MSc International Development included a) The Political Economy and Sociology of Development, b) Understanding Poverty, and c) Economy, Politics, and Society in East Asia. The Deputy President's research topic and dissertation was on examining whether the People's Republic of China's economic relations with the African continent represent neocolonialism.

The EFF believes that the now-tested knowledge that the Deputy President gained will benefit the movement as a whole and how we shape our economic relations and engagements when the EFF assumes the role of government of South Africa from the 29th of May 2024 onwards.

We also urge all leaders of the EFF at all levels to perpetually and persistently pursue education because, as Che Guevara said, "The first duty of a revolutionary is to be educated."
