Investigate Zille’s binging after party at her official residence
28 September 2018
It is an absolute disgrace that Western Cape premier Helen Zille held a late-night binging after party at a state facility for learners of a posh boy’s school. She has set the worst example ever to teenagers (see article).
The midweek after party for young people of Rondebosch Boys High School after their matric dance was held at Zille’s official residence on the Leeuwenhof estate at the foot of Table Mountain on Wednesday 26 September 2018 until around 4 am the next morning.
Angry occupants nearby the estate complained bitterly that they were not properly consulted about the party and especially the noise disturbance on a workday kept them out of sleep. Some annoyed repeatedly called on the police to intervene. At one stage a police officer was pelted with bottles by some of the Leeuwenhof celebrators.
ANC Western Cape MPL Sharon Davids says: “What an abuse of state property and privilege! No excuse by Zille or anybody else is acceptable. The ANC calls for a full investigation on why this revelry was allowed.
