ANC YOUTH LEAGUE REJECTS BY THE CITY PRESS REPORT ABOUT ANC YL PRESIDENT JULIUS MALEMA:
The ANC Youth League rejects the dangerous and potentially damaging sentiments expressed in the 14th of February edition of the City Press about ANC Youth League President Julius Malema (see report). The report is written by some lousy reporter, Piet Rampedi who has thus far demonstrated to have a personal problem and grudge with the President of the ANC YL. Almost all reports by this angry Journalist always associate the President of the ANC Youth League with questionable deals and processes. The ANC Youth League would have not responded to the angry Piet Rampedi, but because some of the allegations he made might be misconstrued as true in certain circles, we have a responsibility to clarify and put to rest these allegations.
1. Investigation by the National Treasury
ANC YL President has never been informed of any official investigation that involves him by the National Treasury. The ANC YL will officially write to National Treasury to ask about the investigations and check if those are ever linked to the President of the ANC Youth League. The President is ready and willing to clarify anything that will be brought to him within the country's laws and will request the national treasury to publicly disassociate itself from the City Press allegations if there is no any investigation.
2. Lembede Investment Holdings
Lembede Investment Holdings is currently in the process of being unbundled by a team that includes Board Members of Lembede and Members of the National Executive Committee of the ANC Youth League. There is currently no Chief Executive Officer of Lembede Investment Holdings, so the allegation the ANC YL President has appointed his friend does not apply, especially that the Lembede Investment Holdings process is overseen by the Treasurer General, not President.
