We are once again united by sports. Congratulations to the Springboks on their remarkable victory over New Zealand! Their dedication and outstanding performance have made the nation proud.

The Springboks’ journey to victory in the Rugby World Cup was a hard-fought battle filled with determination, resilience, and unwavering teamwork. Their ability to overcome a challenge and persevere on the field showcased their true grit and passion for the sport. It was a well-deserved triumph after a remarkable journey. The nation is indebted to the entire team for flying the national flag high. Credit must also go to the coach and his technical team for a well-executed game plan as well as to our captain, Siya Kolisi, who led from the front throughout this tournament.

We applaud the pioneering leadership by President Cyril Ramaphosa and great stewardship by the Minister of Sports, Arts and Culture, Zizi Kodwa.
