NOW COPS ARE HUNTING A PRIEST WHO ALLEGEDLY LED THE DAD TO HIS DEATH!
The little boy can't be identified as he is a witness to the crime.
On Monday last week, the father came from KZN where he works as a carpenter to visit his family in Phase 2 in Braamfischer, Soweto.
His uncle, who stays with the family, said that the man later went with a priest friend to buy a new car.
"He took his four-year-old son with him," said the uncle.
Later that night, the family got worried when father and son hadn't returned.
On Tuesday, the family started panicking and went to Dobsonville Police Station. They were amazed to find the little boy there.
"The cops told us the child was dumped at Dobsonville Shopping Centre at about 11am the previous day," said the missing man's uncle.
"When I asked the child where his father was he kept saying he is up a mine dump," said the uncle.
The child told them his dad, the priest and another man drove in his dad's car to a mine dump at nearby Doornkop.
They went to a stream at the dump where the priest baptises his church members.
The little boy said his father and the two other men took him up the dump. But then the two men brought him down, leaving his dad behind.
Later, the family called the missing man's car-tracking company, and one of the tracking devices was traced to a Dobsonville scrapyard.
The next day the family went to the police again to tell them about this.
That's when cops said they had a tipoff about a body on the mine dump.
Police went to get the body. Next to the body they found a bottle of water, yellow cloth and a black substance.
Meanwhile, other cops went to the scrapyard.
Cops said the man's car had been stripped and its parts sold to the scrapyard on Tuesday.
The scrap dealer said he told the men to return on Wednesday for their money.
And that's when the cops bust two men, but not the priest, who is on the run.
Money had been withdrawn from the murdered dad's bank account, the family said.
Warrant Officer Kay Makhubela said two men aged 22 and 33 were arrested for murder and car theft.
"Investigators are still looking for the priest and one alleged attacker," he said.
