Daily Sun (October 30 2014) - SENZO'S heartbroken dad poured out his feelings about Kelly to Daily Sun . . .
"She has taken my son, so there's nothing left she can take from us," he said.
"KELLY'S BEEN NOTHING BUT A CURSE TO OUR FAMILY!"
Sam Meyiwa said he was shocked when he heard that Kelly Khumalo had released a media statement.
"We haven't spoken to her since the incident," Sam said.
"She didn't even bother to call us to explain what happened.
"We were shocked when we found out that she'd gone to the media.
"She was completely quiet, and now she has the nerve to release a statement in which she offers condolences to us.
"I don't know why she's doing it through the media when she could have spoken to us herself.
"This girl is a curse. What's wrong with her? Why is she behaving like this?
"This is a dark time for our family and Kelly's actions are making things worse."
But Percy Vilakazi, spokesman for the Khumalo family, told the People's Paper that Kelly phoned Senzo Meyiwa's sister, Nokuthula, to tell her about the shooting.
Percy wouldn't comment on the things Sam said about Kelly.
Sam said they don't want Kelly to show her face at the Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates captain's funeral in Umlazi on Saturday.
The grieving dad said: "Senzo has a wife and she is going to be by his side until he is laid to rest.
"I want my son to be buried in peace and in a dignified way.
"People are welcome to come and pay their last respects, but Kelly isn't."
) Last night Senzo's family went to Kelly's complex in Mulbarton, Joburg, accompanied by three police officers to collectSenzo's assets, writes SunReporter Christopher Moagi.
Sam apparently said that Kelly refused to hand over two cars - a BMW X6 and a Golf 5 with a personalised number plate - and the late soccer star's ID. But the old man was not at the complex.
After two hours, where Senzo's family members guarded the complex gate, the family returned empty handed. The police officers and more than five of the Meyiwa family members walked out of the complex without the cars. It is not clear if they retrieved the ID.
But Kelly was nowhere to be found.
