"Stop this wedding!" - Daily Sun

"An angry message from the grave is clear ..." - front page lead, April 9 2015

Daily Sun (April 9 2015) - ISAAC REFUSES to give his blessing or even accept lobola from his daughter's makhwapheni.

He said his dead son-in-law is pleading from beyond the grave to stop the wedding.

AND THE DEAD MAN IS STILL NOT READY TO FORGIVE HIS CHEATING WIFE.

Isaac Mochodi (70) from Kagisanong, Mangaung in the Free State told Daily Sun he is being haunted by his son-in-law, Msuthu Kotoyi (54), who died almost a year ago.

"Msuthu's spirit tells me to stop the marriage. He appears very angry in my dreams," he said.

He said when Msuthu was still alive he told his daughter Kelebogile to focus on her marriage but she wouldn't listen.

"This was after she met a married man at church and they started a romance. The church has also tried to stop their adultery but they refused. They were eventually dismissed by the church committee," he said.

But Isaac's daughter and Msuthu's widow, Kelebogile Kotoyi (46), is also angry.

"I do not need my father's blessings," she said.

"I wish this old man would die so that I could get on with my life."

She said she remained married to her husband for the sake of the children but they got divorced before he died last year.

"Very soon I will be married to Diphapang Motlhacwi, the love of my life," she said. "I don't need my dad's blessings and we will never pay lobola.

"We are attending a different church that doesn't have any problems with my relationship with Diphapang."

Diphapang (52) said he was in love with Kelebogile and local residents knew that.

"We are planning our marriage. I left my wife and two kids and I am in the process of getting divorced," he said.

"I'm afraid Kelebogile's father is losing his mind."

The madala took the SunTeam to Msuthu's grave.

He told his late son-in-law he hoped he would rest in peace. He said he would never disobey him.

Sangoma Mamoya Rakauoane said the marriage will not be blessed by the ancestors.

"The father's heart is listening to the ancestors.

"If there is hurt, the marriage will not last," said Mamoya.
