Daily Sun (July 17 2013) - SINCE the badly mutilated body of their son was found in the bushes, the Rakomane family has not stopped reading the Bible. "Through prayer those evil killers will pay for what they did. God will give us justice," said the dead man's mother. THE BIBLE IS MIGHTIER THAN MUTHI, SHE SAID!
The family find comfort in Jeremiah 17, verse 9: "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked." And they believe that only God knows which evil heart caused them such pain.
"But that evil heart that took our son's heart will never be successful," said Esther Rakomane, the mother of the dead man. "This must be the last time they kill God's innocent children like this!" The body of Tebogo Rakomane (36) was found next to the Simunye road in Westonaria, south-west of Joburg, with his heart and brain missing. His right eye ball had been gouged out of its socket but was left at the murder scene. Commenting on the murder, sangoma Mandla Mnqwazi told Daily Sun: "These evildoers will use the shadow of the dead man at the tavern."
He said the thugs wanted blood from these parts to mix with other evil substances to make powerful muthi to protect a tavern. "This is the kind of muthi bad people think will protect their tavern and make it successful," he said.
"If a thug tries to steal from the tavern he will be confronted by the picture of the deceased." He said this is why the sacrifice had to be a dignified man and not a hobo or a homeless person. Mandla explained the evil deed as "ho thebola" which means taking someone's soul and using it for evil. But Esther said this kind of evil muthi will never work.
"My child's soul is in heaven. The Good Lord took my son's spirit to heaven. Those evil people thought they were killing him but God had already taken his spirit," said Esther.
"If we let our hearts speak about the victory of muthi, that will be a sin. The Bible will always be the curse of the devil spirit."...
