Enough mud slinging - Patricia de Lille

ID leader says DA leader's personal attack on Zuma was unfortunate

ID LEADER PATRICIA DE LILLE CALLS FOR POLITICAL MATURITY

ID Leader Patricia de Lille says she is ‘greatly concerned' by the escalating tension around DA Leader Helen Zille's recent remarks about President Jacob Zuma.

‘Legitimate questions have been asked about the composition of the Western Cape cabinet and it is unfortunate that these concerns were greeted with a personal attack on the President,' says De Lille.

‘There are many competent men and women of all colours and creeds in the province and yes, it would have been better to have a cabinet that was more representative.

‘I would like to call on all parties to be calm and to show some political maturity,' De Lille.

‘Elections are over and we now need to work together to build an inclusive society that looks after all our people.

‘Political leaders have a lot of work to do and need to get down to business, instead of slinging mud at each other,' De Lille says.
