Daily Sun (February 25 2015) - WORKERS shivered when they saw the spooky creature snapped by a security guard's cellphone.
Something he can't explain made him take pictures in the middle of the night.
AND NOW THEY BELIEVE HIS PICTURES ARE OF . . . A GHOST!
The man, who didn't want his name printed, took the pictures while on night duty at the pool three weeks ago.
And his colleagues told the SunTeam these weren't the first ghost sightings at the pool in NY 145, in Cape Town's Gugulethu.
The 35-year-old father of one said on the night of the scary incident he woke at about 1am after falling asleep.
And then, without knowing why, he started taking pictures with his cellphone.
"When I looked at my phone I saw these weird pictures of someone looking in my direction," he said.
"Shocked by this, I kept taking pictures all over the room," said the man.
"I was scared. But it was at night. I had nowhere to run.
"I agree with those who say this is a ghost," said the 35-year-old father of one.
"I try not to think about what I saw. If I did I would be too scared to go to work. So I just ignore it."
The spooky pictures made swimming-pool machine operator Luvuno Kwezi (55) think of the strange conduct of a former fellow worker, who has now retired.
"He used to pour salt here when he was on night duty. We didn't know why.
"Maybe he did it because he felt these strange things.
"I no longer feel comfortable, but we keep on working," said Kwezi, who has worked at the pool since 1982.
The workers told of children drowning at the pool years ago.
They said a ghost was once spotted stretching and entering the pool. But when it was in the water it couldn't be seen.
Strangest of all were the two women ghosts said to have switched on a kettle - who then poured boiling water on their private parts!
) Sangoma Makhosandile Toto said: "I don't know about a phone being able to capture ghosts, but they are real.
"I once saw a ghost.
"These things happen.
"You can chase a ghost as hard as you can, but you will never catch one," he said.
