"Savages! Helpless gogo beaten by security guards" - Daily Sun

The front page and lead story of SA's largest daily newspaper, April 16 2013 (with video)

Daily Sun (April 16) - THE GOGO was accused of shoplifting - a crime that involves a suspended sentence, a warning or a fine. But in the savage world of the security guard, punishment is immediate, violent and brutal. WITHOUT MERCY, THE WOMAN IS BEATEN WITH BELTS, ROPES, A BROOM AND EVEN A RUBBER HAMMER. In a disturbing video taken by a Daily Sun reader, an unidentified woman is beaten in the back room of a store for allegedly stealing a packet of meat and boerewors. Her cries of "Have mercy on me! Have mercy on me!" go unnoticed as security guards continue beating her. In the video that runs for eight minutes, a woman is seen laughing and encouraging the three guards from an as-yet-unidentified security company to beat the victim. See the Daily Sun mobi site for more...
