President Cyril Ramaphosa appoints Deputy National Directors at NPA

President Cyril Ramaphosa has appointed Advocates OumaRasethaba and Rodney de Kock as Deputy National Directors of Public Prosecutions with effect from today, Monday, 01 June 2020.
The President has also approved the appointment of Adv. Mthunzi Mhaga as a Special Director of Public Prosecutions in the Office of the National Director of Public Prosecutions.
The President has made the new appointments in terms of Section 9(1) and 11(1) of the National Prosecuting Authority Act 1998, (Act 32 of 1998), and after consultation with Minister of Justice and Correctional Services Ronald Lamola and National Director of Public Prosecutions Adv. ShamilaBatohi.
These appointments are essential for the efficient functioning and rebuilding of the NPA as part of the fight against crime and corruption and as a contribution to deepening the capability of the state.
