Daily Sun (April 23) - WHEN THE fire attacked the house, wide-awake Spelele didn't hesitate....With flames all around him, he saved his sister and brother from certain death in a house of flames. AND BRAVE SUNHERO SPELELE MZIZANE IS ONLY FOUR YEARS OLD! Spelele was asleep with his sister Luntu (15) and his brother Njabulo (9) on Saturday in their two-roomed shack in Ncala Section, in Katlehong, Ekurhuleni. But they had forgotten to blow out the candle and the furniture caught fire.

When Spelele woke up, he was immediately wide awake. He knew what was happening and ran to the door. But he didn't run outside. The brave boy turned around and screamed to wake up his sister. Luntu jumped out of bed and the two of them rushed outside. They told a neighbour that Njabulo was still in the house. "The fire was so hot and I was afraid to go inside," said Luntu. "I called a neighbour who went inside and managed to save Njabulo, who was still fast asleep."

The neighbour went back into the house and Njabulo was also saved. The three kids sustained burn injuries. They were taken to Natalspruit Hospital for treatment and later released. The shack and everything in it was totally destroyed. See the Daily Sun mobi site for more...
