Vuwani – Schooling is expected resume in Vuwani on Monday following recent protests in the area.
Department of Corporate Governance and Traditional Affairs spokesperson, Legadima Leso, said in a statement that parents are urged to play their part in sending their children back to school, although some pupils will have to go to class in temporary containers.
Minister of Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs, Des van Rooyen, said in a statement parents need to know the importance of developing children and should also remember that children have a right to education.
"It is therefore important for parents to recognise that our children have the right to education and that it is in the interest of the child to develop their talents through education, both formal and informal."
