EFF is vindicated by Mcebisi Jonas confirmation that the Gupta's offered him a cabinet post
16 March 2016
On 10 March 2016, the EFF reported to the people of South Africa that the Gupta family is directly responsible for the firing of Nhlanhla Nene as Minister of Finance. The EFF further confirmed that the Guptas offered the Deputy Minister of Finance, Mcebisi Jonas, the cabinet post of Finance Minister to replace to replace Nhlanhla Nene. Today, Mcebisi Jonas confirmed what the EFF had already reported that the Gupta family had offered him a job of Finance Minister, which vindicates the EFF from attempts by the Guptas to portray us as rumour-mongering. These developments demonstrate one fact that South Africa is directly under leadership of unelected civilian foreign-national family, which is controlling and influencing the decisions and lives of politicians, in particular that of Jacob Zuma. The likes of Nhlanhla Nene and Mcebisi Jonas are not the only ones. The EFF also reported in September 2015 that the appointment of Mosebenzi Zwane as Minister of Minerals Resources was not an ANC collective decision but the decision of the Gupta family to have Ngaoko Ramatlhodi replaced with their puppet with the sole intention to loot state resources. The subsequent acquisition of Optimum Coal by the Guptas with the assistance of Zwane support this fact.
Further revelations by the former ANC MP and former Chairperson of the ANC Parliamentary Caucus, Vytjie Mentor, that she was also offered a job of Minister of Public Enterprise by the Guptas, with Zuma within an earshot, confirm that the government has been subordinated to the narrow and criminal interests of this Gupta family. This is a family that continues to loot parastatals of millions of taxpayers funds through its racketeering schemes called The New Age and ANN7.
The Guptas have effectively undermined and rendered the votes of the people of South Africa and the democratic system useless. It also demonstrates that the ANC and Jacob Zuma have voluntarily handed over the political decision making of the country to a single family, the Guptas, which in itself is direct threat to the sovereignty and national security of the country. There is no further evidence needed as to why Zuma must not step down as the President of the Republic, unless we are being forced to accept to be controlled and run by an unelected civilian family.
These disturbing developments further strengthen the conviction of the EFF that an engagement of Zuma during the Question and Answer session in Parliament is a futile exercise because he no longer runs the country as he has delegated his constitutional powers as President of the Republic and full control to the Guptas.
