This conference happens after South Africa hosted a successful Fifa World Cup which advances our view that Africa as a continent can no longer be treated as a step child in the international space.
The congress notes the deterioration of organizational culture and discipline within its ranks and hereby declares the restoration of organizational values in Gauteng in order to become a model Province in the Country. The delegates declare that branches remain the basic unit of the ANCYL and that elected leadership collective commit to service structures as well as to increase membership significantly before the next congress.
The congress declares to campaign vigorously against poverty, unemployment and continuing mismatch of skills and therefore declare to improve socio-economic condition of the youth of Gauteng. Develop and build activist branches as defined by community work, continuous political education and engagement.
