The African National Congress of Jacob Zuma has won the 2014 national elections in South Africa with 62,15% of the vote, and some 11,4 million votes. The Democratic Alliance of Helen Zille has retained the title of official opposition winning 22,13% of the vote, and just over four million votes. The Economic Freedom Fighters of Julius Malema came in third with 6,35% of the vote, and over a million votes. See Table below. 73,5% of registered voters turned out to cast their ballots.
