"When we revolt it's not for a particular culture. We revolt simply because, for many reasons, we can no longer breathe" Frantz Fanon

It should be remembered that the Economic Freedom Fighters on the 11th of June 2013 made a clarion call inviting progressive thinkers and actors to furnish their input on WHAT IS TO BE DONE?

KZN like all other provinces of the Republic participated in the National Assembly on the 26 &27 July 2013 where we all agreed that the struggle of ECONOMIC FREEDOM IN OUR LIFETIME should be advanced in a radical leftist political manner hence the EFF was proposed to become mass based political movement that will contest elections.

The reception that we have received from the masses in KZN is amazing and it proves that our people have longed for such a voice, a voice of reason, the EFF.

We wish to thank our women in this month of August for their contribution towards our political freedom. EFF sends special warm gratitude to the Grandmothers of our nation, particularly those in our province. These elders took care of us when our fathers, uncles and even mothers were jailed or exiled. They kneeled next to our sleeping stretches and beds to tell us reality tales.

These women did not tell us about the monster and the giant, but they told us about the brave warriors and heroes of our African struggle. They told us of Robert Gabriel Mugabe, Bantubonke Biko, Chief Bhambatha kaMancinza Zondi, Makhanda Nxele to mention a few. They composed corvette revolutionary lullaby that spoke about liberation without mentioning the then notorious name Nelson Mandela. Those are our Gogos.

In the same breath we wish to strongly state that we are not prepared to count further years regarding the Land Act of 1913 where the theft of our land was legislated. This is African land for blacks in particular, and the Black family includes the KHOI AND THE SANS. We wish to inform the province that while our Marxist-Leninist- Fanonist schools of thought describe who we are, we also subscribe to the freedom charter. Indeed South Africa belongs to all who live in it, black and white...the wealth must equally belong to all who live in it black and white.

EFF has visited the evicted farm community of Umtshezi but was unfortunately denied access to our people by hooligans wearing t-shirts with ANC logo. The Municipal Mayor also stated clearly that he was not prepared to talk to EFF people.

EFF fighters were also the first to arrive at the Redhill Mathambo informal settlement where a fired had erupted and destroyed more than 300 household units. The firefighting tanker at the scene, instead of focusing in the units that were on fire, chose to rather protect a nearby mansion of a rich household .

Afore spoken truth ignited the spark we posses and we agreed on the 7 cardinal pillars that are not negotiable, through which the economic emancipation shall be attained.

1. Expropriation of South Africa's land without compensation for equal redistribution in use.

2. Nationalization of mines, banks, and other strategic sectors of the economy, without compensation.

3. Building state and government capacity, which will lead to the abolishment of tenders.

4. Free quality education, healthcare, houses, and sanitation.

5. Massive protected industrial development to create millions of sustainable jobs, including the introduction of minimum wages in order to close the wage gap between the rich and the poor, close the apartheid wage gap and promote rapid career paths for Africans in the workplace.

6. Massive development of the African economy and advocating for a move from reconciliation to justice in the entire continent.

7. Open, accountable, corrupt-free government and society without fear of victimization by state agencies.

We wish to state categorically that, these pillars are uniquely OURS, and therefore we expect no comparison to any State or country. We are hereby unleashing the angle of economic struggle that is capable of economically liberating the whole Africa and the entire Diaspora.

In KZN we have saluted several progressive forces including social movements, academics, NGOs that hold similar views to the ones we hold and we have been hugged by various traditional leadership quarters throughout the province of KZN.

Most of the air-conditioned politicians and so called analysts say, we need electioneering face in KZN. Our answer to that is clear, all these faces here and millions other at homes are what define our election face. Poverty is our face, abuse of state resources to advance individual courses is our face, raping of our grannies is our face, gap between the rich and the poor is our face, so we are not in need of a face.

On the 24th August KZN will be joining thousands of fighters in Marikana in order to show our solidarity to the fallen heroes of our economic struggle. All fighters are welcomed.

Before the end of October, we shall have our Provincial Rally where all fighters throughout the province will be gathered. We don't hire election volunteers because every one of us is a volunteer and the message is clear, Economic Freedom in our Lifetime.

Amandla!!!!!!
