SWITCH ON HEAD LIGHTS, FF PLUS ASKS
"Show your disapproval and from today drive with your head lights on," Mr. Jaco Mulder, FF Plus Provincial Leader in Gauteng and MPL.
The publishing in the Government Gazette on Friday (2010-01-29), by the Minister of Arts and Culture, Ms. Lulu Xingwana, of the name change of Pretoria to that of Tshwane could be the start of a new revolution. The ANC is arrogant to expect us to offer expertise and to help build a country while we are being hampered by affirmative action and identity murder. We should and cannot stand for it.
As a first and immediate step the public is requested to switch on the head lights of their vehicles this week when they drive, not only in Pretoria but throughout the country to show their objection to this continued alienating actions of the government. It is time that the public rises up against this type of methods and arrogance of the ANC government. The FF Plus will fight the government's action at the highest level and will also support legal action against the name changing process.
"To get rid of the name of Pretoria in this way prior to the World Soccer Cup sends out a very clear message of further division amongst South Africans and could even lead to a revolt. If all South Africans wish to live with each other in South Africa , they will have to respect each other's cultures, heritage and the diversity of the country and help build a new shared heritage. This underhanded action draws a line through nation building and reconciliation," Mulder added.
