ANC Limpopo PEC finalises sub-committees

Committee also finalises travel logistics for centenary celebrations in Manguang

INAUGURAL MEETING OF NEW ANC LIMPOPO PROVINCIAL EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE (PEC)

YESTERDAY, the opening instalment of a series of ANC Limpopo's new PEC meetings for the Committee's first year took place at Frans Mohlala House, Polokwane under the chairpersonship of Cde. Cassel Mathale.

Included in this critical leadership meeting of the highest decision-making body of the ANC in the province were:

  • Organising and travel logistics finalisation for the imminent centenary celebrations in Mangaung in the Free State
  • The up-coming provincial rally launching Provincial leg of this year's Centenary activities for 2012
  • Appointment of convenors of the 15 sub-committees of the new PEC

Busses have been arranged and all travel logistics have been finalised to take Limpopo ANC members to Mangaung to join other ANC members as well as members of society as a whole, for the weekend's forthcoming Centennial festivities in the Free State.

The PEC also resolved to hold with the province's own Centenary Rally on Saturday, 14 January 2012 in Sekhukhune Region at the Matlelerekeng Sports Ground in Ephraim Mogale, starting at 10 o'clock that morning.

All 15 PEC sub-committees were finalised during the meeting. Convenors of the sub-committees, including a few unchanged PEC members, are made up of the following comrades:

1.     Legislature and Governance: Dickson Masemola

2.     Deployment: Soviet Lekganyane

3.     Organising and Campaigns: Thabitha Mohlala

4.     Economic Transformation: Pitsi Moloto

5.     Political Education and Training: David Masondo

6.     Communications: Makonde Mathivha

7.     Finance: Pinky Kekana

8.     Elections: Florence Dzhombere 

9.     Health: Gobrey Kgobe

10.   Education: Derrick Ngobeni

11.   Social Transformation: Humphrey Mokgobi

12.   Peace and Stability: Livhuhani Mabija

13.   International Relations: Sello Semomo Maake

14.   Provincial Disciplinary Committee: Joyce Maluleke

15.   Committee of Religious and Traditional Affairs: Kgoshigadi Moremadi Mothapo

The ANC Limpopo has recommitted itself to rebuilding the organisation with an aim to continue instilling values of the ANC by ensuring broader community satisfaction with the party's governance in the province.
