ANC meets with the New Age and ANN7

The African National Congress (ANC) yesterday met with representatives of The New Age and ANN7 following concerns raised by the ANC over reports published in The New Age and broadcast on ANN7 last week.

The meeting noted that while both The New Age and ANN7 stand by their stories, both media organisations acknowledged certain errors in their reporting. Consequently, The New Age and ANN7 have agreed to publish and broadcast an apology on Thursday 24 March 2016.

The meeting agreed to take last night’s discussion forward in a spirit that will encourage a dynamic and respectful relationship.
