ANCYL Mpumalanga backs Malema's leadership

Provincial league says it'll never desert the national leadership

ANCYL MPUMALANGA MEDIA STATEMENT

18 February 2012

The ANCYL of MPUMALANGA having attended the Lekgotla of the ANCYL, held at the Saaint Georges Hotel in Tswane, represented by the Provincial and Regional leadership reaffirm the programme of action as outlined in the Lekgotla and reaffirm the outcomes as follows:

The ANCYL in Mpumalanga stand firmly behind the leadership of the ANCYL as elected uncontested in the 24th National Congress of the ANCYL at Gallagher Estate. The current charges of disciplinary action brought against the leadership of the ANCYL by the ANC is deemed to settle political scores and is hence politically motivated. The ANCYL in Mpumalanga reaffirms that the leadership of the ANCYL cannot be charged in their personal capacity for resolutions that demonstrate the collective will of the ANCYL in the presence of senior leaders of the ANC.

The levels of organizational discipline and democracy were of critical importance at the Congress that demonstrated organizational unity and cohesion both in the election of leadership and the healthy engagement and debate that resulted in Congress resolutions being adopted.

We reaffirm the resolutions of Congress and the leadership led by President Julius Malema and we will never desert our leadership that was mandated to implement the resolutions of Congress.

This includes the resolution for the Nationalisation of Mines and Expropriation of Land without compensation.

We further reaffirm the need for the building of a University in Mpumalanga in order to resolve the challenges facing the right to learn of thousands of potential students who are refused access to institutions of higher learning as a result of limited space.

Indeed we reaffirm that there is a decline in the African agenda and at no point can we leave this unattended with reflecting on what are the critical gaps we have contributed to in advancing the plight of the African people.

The ANCYL of Mpumalanga remains united behind the Freedom Charter and the implementation of it's objectives. We call upon a lll structures to respond to the call for Economic Freedom in our Lifetime.

It is in the collective will of the province that we will host a rally calling for the UNBANNING OF THE ANCYL.

You are invited to a rally "UNBAN THE ANCYL, UNBAN THE FUTURE"
