THE NORTHERN CAPE ANC YOUTH LEAGUE ENDORSES THE CANDIDATURE OF COMRADE JULIUS MALEMA FOR A SECOND TERM AS THE PRESIDENT OF THE ANC YOUTH LEAGUE.
The Provincial Executive Committee of the ANC Youth League in the Northern Cape has after a thorough and lengthy process of political engagement made the following two groundbreaking resolutions. The first resolution is to support the current ANC Youth League President Comrade Julius Malema for a second term in office at the next elective conference of our movement. Comrade Malema is a resolute leader with strong convictions who has been grounded in the revolutionary teachings of our movement who has proven on numerous occasions beyond reasonable doubt that he is capable of steering this organisation ahead towards 2012. We believe that his charisma and oratory skills complemented by his excellent work ethic would once again put him in pole position to come out on tops for a second term as the President of the ANC Youth League.
We have begun to mobilise our human arsenal and artillery to canvass for the candidature of Comrade Julius Malema amongst our branches and would soon extend this strategy to a national level where we would be stating our case on the logic behind our move to endorse Comrade Julius Malema. We strongly believe in the free and fair contestation of conferences within our movement and we urge all comrades considering to enter the race to be gracious enough to accept the outcome of congress that would once again propel Comrade Julius Malema to the mantle of the Youth League Presidency for a second term.
The second resolution is in support of the Nationalisation of the South African mining industry. It is a historical fact that commercial mining in South Africa originated in the Northern Cape and to this day we have several mining houses extracting mineral resources from our land for commercial purposes with little to show as far as the general development of the economy of the province and the poorest of the poor. We believe that the Nationalisation of Mines would enhance capital accumulation of the State's coffers and to enable the State to dispense these resources evenly amongst the poorest of the poor to improve their standard of living. We take serious exception on those who are trying to stifle debate on the contentious issue of the Nationalisation for the Mining industry without giving us the platform to put across our point.
